About me
About me
My name is Denat, I live in Lund, and I’m 18 years old. Over the past two years, I have developed a deep interest in wildlife photography, especially documenting the lives of local mammals. For me, wildlife photography is more than just capturing images of animals, it’s about showing their behaviors and emotions in a way that feels immersive.
Mammals in general are my favorite subjects to photograph. These animals are rarely documented in places like Lund and Skåne, largely because they’re difficult to capture. But that’s part of the challenge I love. Mammals are capable of expressing much more emotion than birds or landscapes, and that emotional depth creates a stronger connection in the image.
I have Albanian heritage, and my name is Albanian. I’m currently studying natural science. I got into wildlife photography after discovering the inspiring work of other photographers. I’m drawn to the chance to capture behaviors that most people never get to see, and later share those beautiful moments in nature.
A fox mother openly feeds and grooms her cubs in the warm afternoon light. I have only ever witnessed this behavior once.
Through my work, I hope to convey a deeper understanding of the animals I photograph, such as showing how a family of foxes shares the same love for each other that human families do. I want my viewers to feel that these animals have emotions and, albeit rare, still live around us, and we must protect them before they disappear entirely. My goal is for my images to speak for themselves, without the need for elaborate explanations, and instead allowing the environment and the animals’ expressions and interactions to tell their own story.

By coding and building unique systems based on advanced sensor technology and creating photo protocols from scratch, he achieves a level of flexibility that is entirely unmatched. This total control over the technology allows him to explore creative image concepts and capture truly unique wildlife photographs through full automatic and sensor-driven control of camera shutters and flashes. All equipment is developed to withstand extreme challenges in the field, and Denat Lahi’s images serve as a direct testament to the systems’ functionality and capabilities.
